When you have a baby with food allergies, trying new things is pretty scary. You never quite know what is going to cause a reaction and what is going to be no problem at all. As scary as it can be, we still have to give foods a try (the ones that we still aren’t sure of). I love making Luke foods and watching him try new things.
The latest food trial was a success…..kinda. We trialed red beets, which Luke absolutely loved……
I have a bunch of foods to try out with him. For fruits he has passed blueberries, failed mango, apples and pears. I have strawberries, grapes, pineapple (mixed with blueberries) and plums in the freezer ready to trial. Veggies he has passed are carrots, sweet potatoes and beets. He failed butternut squash. I have broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus and green beans in the freezer. I’m also in the process of making him veggie soup with carrots, potatoes, celery and onion. I’ll purée it once boiled to make a kind of stew purée.
I think the next food trial will be grape purée, and the vegetable soup purée along with it.
