25 Weeks Old and Doing New Things

This past week has been HUGE for Luke. He has done so many new things this week, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Not only has little man figured out how to roll from back to tummy, but he has also figured out that he can keep rolling over and move about the room. Imagine my surprise when I watched him roll from the middle of the living room into the dining room. Guess it’s time to start baby proofing.

Luke has also figured out that he can push up into a planking position and twist his upper body to turn. It’s so funny to watch him do it because he’s like perfectly parallel to the floor and then a quick bend to the elbow and he’s facing a new position.

He is spending larger and larger amounts of time on his tummy. He loves playing with all his new toys and lifting his body off of the floor. He does still prefer to be on his back though. More importantly, he really likes to be in a sitting position. He can’t sit up on his own yet, but it’s coming. My personal opinion is that the reflux and diastisis have prevented him from really developing a strong core. We’re working on it though, and he’s a smart little guy…..he’ll do what mom does and figure a way around his issues.

Luke wants to eat “real food” so badly. We tried some avocado, but he had a relapse in GI symptoms so we are back to exclusive elecare. I did find online that I can freeze the elecare, so I made Luke some Elecare frozen treats.

His reflux has definitely gotten slightly worse. He’s vomiting quite a bit and seems to be in pain when he does so. I’m not so sure the reflux meds are helping him any at all. I do have an email into his gastroenterologist asking if there is anything else we can do for him.

It’s so amazing watching this tiny person grow and learn new things. We’ve been through so much, and it doesn’t seem to faze him at all.

I love you Baby
