You Are Not Alone

I’ve been where you are. You are sitting in a room alone, despite there being numerous people in the room with you. I know the pain of isolation and a heartbreak that no one can see or help you heal. Whether you have been struggling to conceive for days, weeks, months, years; are trying naturally or using fertility medication; iuis, ivf, donor sperm, donor eggs, surrogacy, adoption, fostering or giving up. Whether you are still trying, just found out you’re pregnant, are getting closer to delivery or not trying any more……. I have been where you are. You are not alone.

To the outside world, those of us that have struggled with fertility are misunderstood. What most people don’t realize is just how strong a person struggling with infertility is. We are poked, prodded, and undergo cringe worthy testing. The emotional toll is unmentionable and leaves us bruised and scarred. We go through things that would break a lot of people, and yet we stand beaten, bruised and somehow hopeful. We avoid talking about what is going on, because we don’t think anyone will understand. I am here to tell you that I understand. You are not alone.

The ttc community has been an amazing source of support. I have one wish for everyone in 2015. If you are struggling I want you to reach out for support. There are so many people out there that have walked your path and are willing to share. You do not have to do this alone! My wish for those that have struggled and made it through to the other side, I encourage you to reach out to those you know are struggling. Let them know that they are not alone and that everything will be alright.

If you don’t feel like you have anyone to turn to, you can always message me. I am here! I am listening! You are not alone!
